Stormwater

THIRSTY?

STORMWATER POLLUTANTS FIND THEIR WAY INTO WHERE WE FISH, WHERE WE SWIM, AND THE WATER WE DRINK. Everything that goes into our storm drains, including pet waste, grass clippings, fertilizers, car wash soap, and sediment, makes its way UNTREATED straight into our streams.  Stormwater is the leading cause of water pollution in Pennsylvania.

DO YOUR PART TO PROMOTE CLEAN STREAMS AND SAFE DRINKING WATER

  • Pick up and properly dispose of pet waste
  • Use a commercial car wash
  • Pick up litter
  • Compost yard waste
  • Fix any vehicle leaks
  • Direct downspouts away from paved areas or use a rain barrel
