SHARON HILL BOROUGH – DELAWARE COUNTY, PA

NOTICE is hereby given that Sharon Hill Borough Council will hold a public hearing on Ordinance #1418 at its regular legislative meeting on September 18, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sharon Hill Borough Hall, 250 Sharon Avenue, Sharon Hill, PA 19079; and if appropriate, will enact an ordinance, the title and summary of which appear below:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF SHARON HILL, DELAWARE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, REQUIRING OWNERS OF VACANT PROPERTIES TO REGISTER SAID PROPERTIES WITH THE BOROUGH; ESTABLISHING REGISTRATION AND INSPECTION FEES; PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION OF VACANT PROPERTIES; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.

Sharon Hill Borough is permitted, pursuant to the Borough Code, to enact ordinances as it deems beneficial to the Borough. This Ordinance requires owners of vacant buildings to register such properties if vacant for more than forty-five (45) consecutive days, to pay annual registration and inspection fees, and to allow inspections by Borough officials. The Ordinance also provides for enforcement, establishes fines of up to $1,000 per violation per day, and authorizes liens for unpaid fees.
