SNOW EMERGENCY OPERATIONS – SHARON HILL BOROUGH
NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
The Borough of Sharon Hill is implementing Snow Emergency Operations in response to the impeding winter storm. To support safe and efficient snow removal, residents are strongly encouraged to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Limit on-street parking and utilize driveways or off-street parking whenever possible.
- Do not park on street corners or near intersections, as this restricts access for large plow trucks and emergency vehicles.
- Vehicles parked in restricted areas may delay snow removal operations.
Snow Removal Operations: Borough plow trucks and contracted equipment require adequate space to safely and effectively clear roadways. Your cooperation helps ensure streets are cleared as quickly and safely as possible.
Sidewalk & Property Responsibilities: Residents and property owners are reminded that sidewalks and private property must be shoveled and cleared within 24 hours after the end of the last snowfall.
Travel Advisory: Residents are encouraged to remain indoors during the storm whenever possible. If travel is necessary, please proceed with extreme caution, as road conditions may be hazardous.
Trash Pickup: Please expect potential collection delays on Monday and possibly Tuesday of next week. Official updates will be shared as they are provided by our trash collection vendor.
The Borough appreciates your cooperation and patience as our Highway Department works to maintain safe travel conditions. Updates will be provided as conditions change.
