Between Sharon Avenue and Ridley Avenues
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced that Sharon Hill Borough will close a section of U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) in Delaware County for a special event on Saturday, August 22.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction on Saturday, August 22, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM:
- U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) will be closed and detoured in both directions between Sharon Avenue and Ridley Avenue. During the closure, drivers will be directed to follow the posted the detour route.
- Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur.
- Eastbound Detour: East on Chester Pike to Sharon Avenue; South on Sharon Avenue to Coates Street; East on Coates Street to Ridley Avenue; North on Ridley Avenue to Chester Pike; East on Chester Pike
- Westbound Detour: West on Chester Pike to Ridley Avenue; South on Ridley Avenue to Coates Street; West on Coates Street to Sharon Avenue; North on Sharon Avenue to Chester Pike; West on Chester Pike (SR 0013)
Additionally, SEPTA routes 114 and 115 will be detoured during this time period.
- Southbound routes 114 and 115 via Chester Pike will detour by turning left on Calcon Hook Rd., Right on Elmwood Avenue, and right on Sharon Avenue, then left onto Chester Pike to resume the route.
- Northbound routes 114 and 115 via Chester Pike will detour by turning right on Sharon Avenue, left on Elmwood Avenue, left on Calcon Hook Road, then right onto Chester Pike to resume the route.
