Sharon Hill Historical Society

Sharon Hill Historical Society

Our Heritage. Our Story.

Founded in 1991, the Sharon Hill Historical Society was incorporated by a group of citizens whose main focus was to protect the historic railroad station — a treasured landmark and symbol of our borough’s rich history.

A Legacy of Dedication

For many years, our beloved Jean Silber documented borough life through the Historical Society newsletter, capturing the people, events, and progress of Sharon Hill until approximately 2017. Her work remains an invaluable part of our history.

A New Chapter Begins

Thanks to the leadership and support of Councilwoman Deidri Brabham and Council Chair Tanya Allen, the Sharon Hill Historical Society has been reawakened. Over the past 7–8 years, many positive things have happened in Sharon Hill. As a Society, we will include these activities in our upcoming newsletters and keep our community informed and engaged.

Our Mission Moving Forward

The Sharon Hill Historical Society is committed to:

  • Continuing restoration efforts of the historic Sharon Hill train station.
  • Documenting and preserving the evolving story of our borough.
  • Supporting community initiatives, including beautification efforts alongside local leadership such as Councilman Hill.
  • Expanding membership and community engagement.
  • Reestablishing the Society as a vibrant, active part of Sharon Hill.
