Residents are invited to participate in the 25th Annual Delaware County Run for Heroes on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Springfield Township Municipal Complex, 50 Powell Road in Springfield. The 5K race begins at 9:00 a.m.

The annual event benefits the Delaware County Hero Scholarship, which provides support for children of police officers, firefighters, and emergency responders who died in the line of duty. Since 2001, the Run for Heroes has raised $870,000 for the scholarship program.

Community members are encouraged to sign up to participate or become a sponsor and help support the families of Delaware County’s fallen first responders.
