Work Beginning May 5th on 800-1100 blocks of Elmwood and Jackson Avenues
The Delaware County Regional Water Quality Control Authority (DELCORA) will be conducting a project in Sharon Hill over the next few months to improve the wastewater collection system.
As a result of smoke testing conducted a few years back, the Borough was identified as a “Hot Spot” area, presenting with deficiencies in our sewer system. These deficiencies were found both on public and private property, resulting in stormwater infiltration into the sanitary sewer system and driving up the cost of sewer fees.
The project will be completed by MOR Construction and overseen by the Borough Engineer. Construction is slated to begin the week of 5/5/25 and will include improvements to Borough-owned infrastructure in the 800-1100 blocks of Elmwood and Jackson Avenues.
DELCORA will be in touch with residents whose properties were identified within the potential scope of work. Residents wishing to participate in the program will need to sign-on directly with DELCORA.
All improvements are being offered at NO COST to the Borough or residents who opt-in.
Should you require more information please reach out to Borough Hall at 610-586-8200.
