Sharon Hill Public Library Director Richard Ashby, Jr. explains how he can make a difference in our community during a profile on the August 19 edition of 6ABC Action News.
“There are over 80,000 librarians in the country,” said Ashby, past president of the National Black Librarians and cofounder and vice president of Pennsylvania Black Librarians. “About 500 of them are Black men. And about 30-40 of us are library directors in public libraries.”
